Sara's Top Ten Most Wanted Items (11/28/09)

Be it power up's, weapons, gizmos, gadgets, books, or instruments, this is my top ten list of items I'd want from gaming in general.

#10 The Fire Flower -

Who wouldn't want to incenerate their foes just by holding out their hand and throwing a ball of pure awesome at someone?  I mean, save for the red overalls, there's nothing wrong with this glorious powerup.

#9 The 5-way Shot -  (no picture available due to sheer awesomeness)  You can have your Contra-style 3-way spreader, I'm gonna take Midway's two steps further past the ultimate win.  This powerup made whatever projectile you were shooting...even the chicken that spits fireballs, shoot out in five directions.  Could you imagine that in being added to Contra's spreader rifle...15 bullets from one gun?  And there's two guns!!!  Who wants a taste of my 30 bullets a second?

#8 The BFG 9000 -

The "You're going to die when I point this at you" gun.  Coupled with the 5 way shot, this one gun could take down an entire squad of cyber demons with just one shot.

#7 The Master Ball -

I could have just said the Pokeball, but A) it's purple, and nothing beats purple, and b) it always catches it's target.  ALWAYS.  One visit to the Zoo and you have a standing army of wild creatures at your disposable to kill and maim you enemies.

#6 The  Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640-

Ok, I know this is kind of cheating, but I love this car...and it's been featured in a few racing games that I know of, and it was either this or the Batmobile.  Well...I think someone might get suspicious if the saw the Batmobile riding down the street.  In the words of Alfred Pennyworth, "much more subtle".  And yes, it is Bruce Wayne's car.

#5 The Summon, Shiva -

There are a couple of reasons I'd want the summon monsters from Final Fantasy...Ifrit's a fire genie (so 3 wishes, yay!), Bahamut's a freaking dragon, but Shiva is cool (no pun intended).  She's my favorite for a number of reasons.  First, she can freeze my enemies.  Second, she can shatter them into a million pieces.  Third, those peices are DIAMONDS.  Screw Gil...everyone likes diamonds.

#4 The Ocarina of Time -

Of all the items in the Zelda series, this is quite possibly my favorite.  An instrument that controls time and space.  How many objects do that at all?  And all you have to do to activate this is play a song.  It will allow you to travel through time, make blocks appear from no where, and teleport you anywhere in the world.  And it summons your horse no matter how far you are away from the stable...if that doesn't prove that it manipulates space and time, I'm not sure what will.

#3 Samus' Armor -

I may have none of the physique she has.  I may not shoot like she does.  I am simply not as cool as she is.  But that doesn't mean I still wouldn't want her armor.  Taking all the best things from Space Marine armor and making them better (because she's freelance, and thus get's paid better), this is the ultimate planetary exploration suit.  The only thing that would make it better is if you could use her beam sword in this form, too.

#2 The Lightsaber -

Something interesting about me is I'm trained in both French style Fencing (aka, Classical Dueling style) and Kendo.  I know how to use a sword, and when it came down to it, I only needed one.  While Link's Master Sword would sit here in most other lists, I'd prefer that overpowered ocarina than his sword of evil's bane, and when this sword is extremely light, can be color changed to fit my mood, and can cut through anything like butter, it's gonna be one of the few things as good as the one set in the Pedastal of Time.

#1  Pixie Dust -

Now I'm sure you're thinking I'm crazy, but I'd love to be able to fly, and the first time I did as Sora in Kingdom Hearts I said they should make a game based on aerial combat like this that doesn't have the Dragon Ball label on it.  Peter gives you this while in Neverland, and for the rest of the game, you're as light as a feather, able to jump and glide, but while in Neverland, itself, you can actually fly.  This full power returns as you return to Destiny Island for some reason that's never explained, but you know what, I don't care...I simply like flying.  Why hasn't there been a game that uses that mechanic more fully?  Oh well, getting off topic.

So, yeah, I'm going to be a red space armored, lightsaber weilding, 5 way shot BFG toting, fire ball throwing, time and space manipulating, pokeball tossing, Shiva summoning, flying mad woman.  Hoo-ray!  On my off days, I'd drive the Lamborghini for fun, heh heh.

So what do you think...I mean, this list was mostly for fun, a kind of wish list to start off the next three days that are all going to share some of this trait, but I want to know what you'd want from gaming.  Would you fly?  Would you have major firepower?  Would you have Peach's castle?  Lara Croft's Mansion?  A Banshee?  What would you have and why?
