Sara's Top Ten Games I Wish I Owned (11/29/09)

In part III of this wish list series, I pick out random classic titles, or more modern ones, that I wished I owned, but for some reason, be it finances, rarity, or system owning that I don't.  Keep in mind, this is my wishlist based on what I own and games I'd like to play that I haven't gotten the chance to yet.

#10  Assasin's Creed - Yeah, I know, I'm probably one of the five gamers who hasn't played this yet, and it all comes back to finances on this one.  I love the rebooted Prince of Persia series, and I have adore anything about the crusades, the freemasons, the templars, and the hassassins, so I'm sure I'd love this game.  And yet, other games have gotten in my way of playing it.

#9 The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - Somehow, I never owned the Minish Cap.  I borrowed it from a friend in trade for the collector's edition games for the GameCube, and I loved it, however, there were some aspects I'd change about it.  I haven't played it since that first time, and I own every other Zelda game (save the CDi ones, but I'm not paying money for those) but it.  Oh well, one day.

#8  Final Fantasy IV (DS) - For those who've followed my blogs previously...you know that I adore FFIV.  It is my favorite game in the entire series.  I own it on my GBA, but the DS has FMV.  Since I own it already, I simply haven't put it near the top of my gaming priorities, but it's definitely one I want just for it's additions to my favorite FF game.

#7  Super Metroid - Having never owned the Super Nintendo, I missed out on a lot of SNES titles.  Super Metroid's the only one that I was really interested in that I haven't been able to play on another system, thus far.  I love the Metroid series, and this is the one that I really want to play next.

#6  Age of Mythology: The Titans Expansion - I have never gotten it for a number of reasons, but key amongst those is it's rarely in the forefront of my thought.  Maybe one of these days when I'm looking for a cheap game, I'll remember it.

#5  Sonic Adventure - This is one of those few games I've owned and lost due to extraneous situations.  This one was stolen from me by the guys who broke into my house.  As such, while I've been rebuilding my collection, Sonic Adventure has been one of the few that's constantly alluded me.  Maybe one day I'll get it again.

#4  Marvel vs Capcom 2 - My favorite fighting game that I've never owned, and I have no excuse whatsoever.  It's been released on multiple consoles I own and is now available on Xbox Live Arcade.  Maybe when I get together some funds, this will be my next major purchase, and I can stop playing it at a friends.

#3  Banjo-Tooie - I love Banjo-Kazooie, but for some reason, I never purchased Banjo-Tooie.  I don't know why, I just didn't.  Maybe like MvC2, I'll get it, and it's prequel, on the Xbox Live, in the near future.

#2  Timestalker, aka Climax Landers - Like Sonic Adventure, this was a Dreamcast game that was stolen from me when my collection vanished through theft.  This dungeon crawling JRPG was one of the best I've played, comprable with FFIV even, in my book.

#1 Final Fantasy VIII - I've always wanted to play it but never gotten the chance to due to various reasons.  An ex-boyfriend made the claim that this was his favorite game ever and I became obsessed with it.  However, all of my attempts to play it thus far have failed.  It along with VII are the only two Final Fantasy games I've yet to play, and I believe it's only a matter of time.

So that concludes this wishlist.  Part IV will be up tomorrow morning most likely and Part V will conclude the series, hopefully, someone will realize what this is all for before then.  I'll give them whatever dessert they want if they can tell me.

Finally, as I always ask, what do you think?  Should I want these games?  Should I want others?  Why or why not?  Are you willing to buy them for me?  That last one's a joke by the way.

Night all,
-Sara
