Floating Samurai Heads and You! (7/13/10)

So, in the last week, I've had some pretty hilarious conversations, some of which I've really, really wanted to turn into blogs, but none would be substantial enough to really do so.  So, starting with the most recent, these are odd comment threads that have deviated from the point of the blog, or been secondary to it, rather than directly towards it.

1.  Samurai Zombie Nation's floating Sean Connery's severed head that spits fireballs and vomits on Zombies whilst being undead himself.  This got it's start inAnnoying's Top Ten Favorite Undead.  It started off as a complaint about killer7 not quite being good enough to be on there, especially when Sir Connery's head was so bad ass.  Check out the Spoony One's review of it here to check the awesomeness.

2.  Philosophy vs. Science, let the bombs explode!  This was in my last one,Realizing you don't know everything..., in which Plumerou told me about how when he and friend got in an argument over there perspective fields of interests, things went BOOM!

3.  Stuttering Craig played SlamBall.  This is another from Realizing, but Smoofy and I got to talking about sports.  Sure, I'd known this, but it's still an epic little reminder, and a lot of g1's don't apparently.

4.  Christopher Walken should so do a RiffTrax of Lord of the Rings.  Poor Cil had to put up with me and Shrap getting into a lively debate on his 3 Panel Movie strip of Inglorious Basterds.  Then again, Chuck started the comment thread...so we can blame him, right?



5.  "Yuna is a whore."  Wait, no she's not, DarkLink.  The two of us got into this a lot over the last few days in the comments of my X-2 review, discussing all the nuances of argumentation, and Yuna's slutty factor versus her purity rating.  It was very intense.  "She's a whore."  Quiet, you.

6.  The origins of Pirates vs. Ninjas and other random Sheep Tossing.  When talking about FF Heroes, Plume, Chuck, and Crim started with a discussion about Balthier (a pirate) and Auron (a samurai) tying.  It quickly degraded into a discussion about Ninjas and Pirates and Samurai Pirates (specifically Roranoa Zoro from One Piece), which Chuck bah'd at.  Sheep were thrown.

7.  Family Guy, McDonald's food being Vegan-Friendly, Mozart, Jaws Theme with Lyrics, and Hot Topic is not Punk Rock.  Cil must get tired of me turning his blogs and 3 Panel Movies into giant forums...then again, maybe not, as he joined in this time as WaterShocker and I talked about all this in his Jaws strip.

8.  TheGuardian and I discuss Slash.  In my FF Heroines post, we started by discussing Faris and Samus having similarities.  As they're possibly my favorite two favorite women in gaming, that's really not that surprising...what is is just how far my fiction writing mind can go when just the barest mention of a topic goes to far.  Eventually, this resulted in a case of incapable revenge upon him (be warned)...maybe someday soon I'll get him...maybe.

What...no more...damn.  Seriously, did you know the g1 Talkback only goes back 200 replies and comments.  Kinda sad really, when I seem to average that in just over 4 days.  Kinda hard to see other excellent tidbits that I've either forgotten about, or haven't noticed in my own works.

Oh well though, it's pretty amazing nonetheless.  I don't mind these though...point in act I enjoy them on my own posts.  It's the reason I love the comments on ScrewAttack, along with the g1Talkback, you can have these massive insane discussions, but you can know about them too...on every thread you post on.  So I guess this is a tribute to the Talkback bar.  Hope you enjoy the threads if you decide to check them out...be warned of the Slash one...Sephiroth nuzzles Cloud.
